Meet Mr. Michael

(more pictures below)

Hello!  My name is Michael McAnally and I will be your child’s teacher.  This is my fourth year of teaching here in Bledsoe County, and I love it!. For the 2009-2010 school year I was honored to be named Pikeville Elementary's Teacher of the Year. I have an associate’s degree from Roane State Community College, and a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee Tech University both in elementary education.  Prior to teaching, I worked as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher in Cumberland County.

My wife and I also live in Cumberland County in the Midway community, which is exactly 16 miles from Pikeville and Crossville. One interesting note is that we live on a farm that has been in my family for over 100 years.  In my spare time I love to travel!  I have visited every state capital except Hawaii.  I also enjoy hiking at Fall Creek Falls and other outdoor activities.

I look forward to an exciting year of working and learning together.  I will strive to make our classroom a fun and engaging place to be.  I believe in personal responsibility and hold high expectations for all of my students.  That is why your support is an integral part of the educational process.  Together we can help your child become a responsible and successful student.  I look forward to working with you as we help your child learn, grow, and become the best he can be!
